MODIYA Project: Jews/Media/Religion is an open source resource for researchers, teachers, and students sponsored by the Center for Religion and Media, New York University, which is funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts and directed by Faye Ginsburg and Angela Zito, with the assistance of Barbara Abrash. The MODIYA Project is being developed by the Working Group on Jews, Media and Religion, which convened at the Center for Religion and Media during the 2003-2004 academic year and continues to meet.
The MODIYA project website was developed as a collaboration between the ITS Faculty Technology Center at NYU and the Working Group on Jews, Media and Religion. MODIYA uses the DSpace engine developed at MIT. FTC staff involved in the project include:
Tal Halpern - Instructional Technology Specialist, Designer
Joseph Lee - Software Engineer
Nicola Monat-Jacobs - Information Technology Specialist
Tiphaine Rabaux - Content Manager, Interactive Producer/Designer
Please note that while MIT's DSpace is currently at version 1.2.1, our implementation of this code is strictly beta.
