Search for the word “Yiddish” on eBay. What sorts of items come up in the search? Which ones are surprising (e.g., items that are not in Yiddish)? What does this keyword search reveal about the many meanings associated with the word “Yiddish?” What does the inventory of items and the descriptions provided by sellers reveal about the material culture of Yiddish currently in circulation?
