Alisa Lebow is Senior Lecturer in Film Studies in the School of Cultural Studies at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Her research is primarily in the areas of documentary, mockumentary, experimental, and first person film. Her book, First Person Jewish, on Jewish autobiographical film, is forthcoming from University of Minnesota Press, in the Visible Evidence series. She is also a filmmaker. Her two films, Treyf (1998) and Outlaw (1994), are distributed by Women Make Movies.
